Creating a Character

Although Dungeons & Dragons has many rules both official and unofficial, every individual campaign will select which rules apply (and even make up some of its own). Below, please find all rules concerning character creation for this campaign.

Please note: all characters are subject to Dungeon Master approval and may be subject to change. This is to ensure the continued enjoyment of all the players in the game.

If there is any content you don't own but would like to use, talk to the Dungeon Master.

Permitted Sourcebooks

All content from the following official D&D 5e sourcebooks is permitted, with the exception of any playable races not on the list of races provided below:

*For the avoidance of doubt, the new 2024 Players Handbook content is not allowed. If creating characters on dndbeyond.com, please ensure you only use "2014" and "legacy" content and NOT 2024 content.

Playable Races

The following races are playable in this campaign:

PLEASE NOTE: Due to the campaign setting being in an ongoing conflict, your choice will sometimes affect how others perceive and treat you. Although the city of Ravensford (where the majority of the campaign takes place) is neutral, underlying tensions may surface and travel outside the city may expose you to hostile or friendly interactions based solely on what you are.
